I was baptized as an infant at my grandmother’s Episcopal church in Salt Lake City, Utah. When my parents moved to another city, they were not interested in attending church. Miraculously, an Episcopalian family with a girl my age moved into our neighborhood. I was grateful to be able to attend church, Sunday school, confirmation, and The Girls Friendly Society with my friend.
As an adult I joined Grace Lutheran Church in Sandy, Utah because I wanted to study the Bible in depth. I was rewarded with exciting Bible studies, fun fellowship, and incredible opportunities to serve. This was undoubtedly the happiest time in my life.
I studied Psychology at Pepperdine University, and received a Masters Degree. As it turned out I was not able to earn my living in this field even after qualifying for the Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling License.
I went back to my high school typing skills, and eventually learned many computer software applications. It has been exciting using these skills in many different jobs for approximately 20 years. I look forward to the challenge of applying my skills to the Admin position at CrossBridge Community Church.
My husband, John Brewer, and I share many hobbies. We enjoy gardening, cooking together, reading and discussing ideas, bird watching, traveling, and walking our dog, Synergy. My adult son lives and works in California.
